Systech International to present at the 1st Latin American Cost Engineering Symposium in Sao Paulo, Brasil

September 19, 2013

Ricardo Delarue, the Systech International Regional Manager for Brasil, is presenting at the 1st Latin American Cost Engineering Symposium which is being held on October 19 in Sao Paulo, Brasil.

The theme chosen by Ricardo for his talk is “Efficiency and Cost Control in Unit Price Projects”.

Commenting on his theme, Ricardo says “Unit price projects in Brasil regularly suffer from cost control problems due to the lower efficiency of direct manpower. These problems are aggravated when a project change happens since the new activity does not have a proper unit price. This lack of control can compromise the successful delivery of the project, on time and on budget. In my talk I will explain how cost control problems arise, the impact they can have and how they can be overcome".

Other confirmed speakers include:

     - Dick Faris, Senior Vice President - Oracle Primavera;

     - Nelson Bonilla, Project Controls Director - Fluor;

     - Travis Mattern, Senior Software Solutions Engineer - EcoSys;

     - Ko des Bouvrie, Director - Cost Engineering (Cleopatra);
