Gaze of Europe to fall on Systech International

April 25, 2012

This May the eyes of Europe will focus firmly on Azerbaijan as the country plays host to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. The venue: Crystal Hall, Baku.

The US$100m stadium sized steel structure boasts a 25,000 seating capacity and was constructed in a record completion time of just 8 months. A further US$100m has been spent on the associated infrastructure and landscaping works. The successful project works were given the seal of approval from The President and First Lady of Azerbaijan who recently inspected the Crystal Hall. Their visit incorporated a tour of the Crystal Hall’s concourse, main entrance, hospitality and VIP areas.

Systech International was appointed to advise on the critical programming and commercial management issues as the stadium entered its final phases of completion.

45,000 LED lamps will give the hall the illusion of a crystalline exterior, promising the creation of the perfect ambience for the multi-functional venue.

The Crystal Hall is set to dazzle Europe on 26th May and beyond and Systech is delighted to have been involved in the successful delivery of this iconic event arena.
