Systech Director for Latin America, Ricardo Delarue, was a key speaker at the Fórum de BDI e Gerenciamento de Alteração de Escopo in Rio de Janeiro on 2 September.

The forum, which was held at the auditorium of the Engineering Club of Rio de Janeiro, was attended by over 100 people – engineers, project managers, planners and cost engineers – including senior members from the delivery team for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Ricardo says “I spoke about how change management systems can be used for the traceability of all the events that could impact the time and cost of a project. Another major benefit of the systems is their ability to predict changes before they occur, providing the project team with invaluable management information. I additionally advised on the importance of keeping good site records from the commencement of the works and how the records are used to support entitlements to change.”
