Systech International opens Chile office

Global construction consultancy Systech International has opened an office in Santiago, Chile.

The office, which will be run by Country Manager Richard Clegg, is being set up to manage our clients’ requirements in Spanish speaking Latin America and will complement the Portuguese speaking capabilities offered by our office in Brazil.

Richard, who speaks Spanish , has over 30 years experience in the construction and engineering industries,gained in a diverse mix of countries including USA,Chile, Spain, UK,Algeria,Mexico and Egypt.Trained as a Quantity Surveyor, his expertize includes contracts/commercial management, claims preparation and negotiationand risk management. He has also been a testifying witness at arbitrations.

Richard will work closely with Ricardo Delarue, our Country Manager for Brazil, as well as Craig Silcock, our President for the Americas, to provide a trans-Latin America support to our international clients.

Craig Silcock says “The new office will enable us to further expand our internationally recognized project controls and dispute services within the Latin American market. It will also allow us to augment our in-country consultants with North American experts in claims, dispute resolution and international arbitration. I am very keen to establish further alliances in Latin America with highly recognized professional organizations, such as our existing arrangement with IBEC (Brazilian Institute of Cost Engineering), and to expand our network of training seminars”.

Systech is currently working on projects throughout Brazil, Peru and Chile in a range of sectors including energy, plant/process/manufacturing, oil and gas and shipbuilding.
