Systech International opens Philadelphia office
Global construction consultancy Systech International has further expanded its USA-based operations with the opening of an office in Philadelphia, PA, to support clients and projects within the North-Eastern USA regions, including major markets such as Boston, New York, Washington DC and the Marcellus and Devonian basin shale gas projects within the region.
The office will be run by Christopher Mather, who has joined Systech as our Vice-President, East Coast, USA.
Chris comes to Systech with over 30 years of experience gained in the North American market. He has worked in senior positions in both contractor entities and professional consultancies. In the course of his career, he has worked for all forms of stakeholders including Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors and OEM’s in both the Private and Public sectors.
The new North-East office will focus on providing more local and accessible support to Systech International’s existing client base in the region, and will also serve as the company’s primary disputes and expert services center within the USA.
Chris has testified on construction damages and provided expert testimony in an ICC Arbitration in Zurich, Switzerland and in a matter before the Supreme Court of New York. He has been involved in over 100 matters, with claims and counterclaims, totaling over USD4B. He has authored several articles and publications, and is a member of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He currently sits on the AAA’s National Construction Dispute Resolution Committee as a representative for the Construction Financial Management Association.
Systech International’s President for the Americas, Craig Silcock, says “We have traditionally focused our services in areas outside of the North-East but as the company’s national coverage and range of experience has grown over the last 9 years, it has become increasingly important that we service our client base more locally, and use local resources and expertise.
Chris will be fully supported by our disputes team and our other experts, including our forensic scheduling experts, to provide claims avoidance and dispute resolution services, as well as Systech’s project controls offerings such as commercial/contract management and scheduling support on live projects.”
