Systech launches Site Diary App!

March 13, 2014

Global construction consultancy Systech International has produced a mobile phone site diary app which will revolutionise the preparation of contemporary site records and make project record keeping really simple. The app, which is available to download from the App Store, has attracted interest from clients and being used on live projects.

The site diary app will revolutionise the preparation of project records, ensuring that a daily contemporary report of irrefutable weight and credibility is produced by staff with direct knowledge of the events.

Concerns over lost records [where is that laptop?], or indeed whether records were maintained in the first place, will be eliminated and the need to prepare easily challenged after the event records a thing of the past.

The app is a complimentary addition to our services. Our consultants will use their expertise to specifically configure the app for a project, advising clients on the questions and fields to include [for example site access, % completions, impediments to progress, key dates, material deliveries, verbal instructions, early warnings] and the resultant data, including photos, can be used to support the commercial, contract administration, planning, claims and dispute resolution function.

A simple navigation system provides guidance through each step of the collection process, and data can be inputted by multiple users on site.

There is no need to type; events can be captured as they unfold using the state of the art voice recognition system.

Every record is uniquely labeled and date-stamped…and GPS located photos can be included.

Individual user reports are sent to a database and consolidated into a single project daily report which is circulated to an agreed distribution list. This feature permits the managing office to view the reports on a daily basis allowing prompt response to actions and the instruction of any remedial measures.

The database also has an intelligent word search feature allowing bespoke reports to be prepared and exported into an editable file.

An Android version of the app is in development and will be available in early April.
