Systech steals march on competitors with appointment of key director for Japan
Systech International is pleased to announce that Peter Phillips has joined Systech to expand our services to Japanese contractors on major global projects.
Peter will take up his role on 1 March, and will report to Gary Howells, our Asia Pacific Regional Managing Director based in Singapore, as part of Gary’s senior management team. Working out of Systech’s offices in Yokohama and Kobe, Peter will also work closely with Ian Huggett, who has led our operation in Japan for the last 10 years, to support and further our involvement with Japanese contractors on international nuclear, oil and gas and transportation projects.
Peter was previously Managing Director of Trett Consulting Japan and has 27 years experience working in Japan as well as his extensive hands-on knowledge of the country and its contractors. He is also fluent in Japanese.
Peter qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1973, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has a masters degree in law. He is an experienced mediator and arbitrator.
Systech International CEO Stephen Rayment says:
“Peter’s appointment is a significant step forward for us in terms of developing our Japanese client base. Peter is known and respected throughout the Japanese market, having developed long term relationships in Japan over the last 27 years. Peter was very impressed with our track record to date in Japan and with our long-term strategy of support to Japanese contractors as they look
to move overseas. Systech is currently finalising similar high profile appointments in the energy sector, as part of its continued global expansion”.
