Tiny Steps Triathlon

February 11, 2015

Systech International took UK charity Tiny Steps international when Steven Holman, one of our senior consultants in Abu Dhabi, pulled together 6 teams for the Dubai International Triathlon (DIT). All the teams completed the course, not only recording some great individual times but looking very smart in their custom made Tiny Steps / Systech International kit. Although we did not get close to a podium finish, the effort, team spirit and comradery shown on the day was fantastic and it was a proud moment for all involved.

Systech was represented by Tom Allen, Steven Holman, Simon Chandler, and Paul Williams whilst former colleagues Stephen Dickie, Phil Howe, John McKevitt and Michael Barker also took part.

With half of the DIT entry fees going to Tiny Steps, the charity is one step closer to opening a centre for children with special needs to go with their families. The centre will have a play area and social café and provide activities and information, ensuring a better future and alleviating the struggles of the past.

We can also report that since the event Connie, the daughter of Stevens friends, has done what the doctors had said she would never do; she finally started walking! Her first ‘Tiny Steps’…
