Hamish MacDonald

Regional Director - Abu Dhabi

Hamish is our Regional Director, based in Abu Dhabi.

After spending 10 years as a quantity surveyor in the UK and Far East he moved to the Middle East where he more than 20 years of dispute resolution experience. Hamish has provided claim preparation, dispute resolution, contractual advice, arbitration support and independent expert opinions to clients throughout the Gulf Region, working in the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Egypt.

He has extensive experience in the preparation, analysis and resolution of claims, drafting of contract documents, contract negotiation and administration, arbitration and adjudication, providing expert opinions and contract administration.

Hamish is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Quantity Surveyors Institute. He is registered as an Arbitrator with the Dubai International Arbitration Centre and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre.
