Have you considered working in Australia? Are you seeking a paralegal position that offers the opportunity to be considered for an England and Wales SRA Training Contract (period of recognised training) after 24 months of satisfactory performance?

Systech currently has opportunities for exceptional, talented, and experienced paralegals to be involved in major international infrastructure projects.

Systech Law is a leading specialist practice which is involved in some of the largest and most complex construction and engineering disputes in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as an advisor on government projects
  • Working on live construction projects, providing support to our claims and disputes teams
  • Prepare presentation, generally MS PowerPoint slide decks for client workshops and meetings
  • Preparation of Graphs/visuals- MS Excel experience preferential.
  • Reviewing and appraising risks in contracts on major projects
  • Making bespoke amendments to standard contracts
  • Helping to prepare contracts
  • Drafting correspondence, including counter-claim letters
  • Facilitating negotiations in meetings take meeting actions/minutes
  • Assisting in the preparation of independent, third party reports
  • Discovery
  • Researching and preparing bespoke seminar materials for client training purposes
  • General administration support, and progress updates on deliverables- MS VISO/MS Project preferential

Individual

  • 3-5 years post graduate paralegal experience
  • Construction or engineering experience
  • Have obtained an SRA qualifying law degree in the UK (2.1 and above)
  • Completed or undertaking the LPC (preferred)
  • Mobile and flexible
  • Happy to be stationed overseas on a long-term basis
