The Role

This position’s primary responsibility is to establish, develop and manage a bid management function within Systech. The Bid Manager will initially focus on identifying, pipelining, strategizing, and bidding for major government infrastructure projects across Systech’ s largest target market, Australia.
This will be a global centralised function and the lessons learned will be applied to Systech’s key markets around the world. The successful candidate will grow and develop along with the scope of this important position, travelling as required to support its implementation.

You will be required to work with the key internal stakeholders; Managing Directors, Country Managers, Business Development, Recruitment, and HR to coordinate our work-winning efforts. You will oversee the full bid management process from identification through to contract awarded.


  • Scheduling and conducting meetings to understand Systech’s work winning strategy
  • Identifying suitable opportunities in keeping with Systech’s strategy
  • Advising Systech on opportunities to increase our chances of being successful
  • Monitoring key projects, registering for panels / RFP’s, driving early engagement
  • Producing documentation such as prequalification documents, expressions of interest and proposal documentation for customers
  • Supporting the management of a portfolio of bids and production of marketing material
  • Producing diagrams and Gantt charts in support of bids and projects
  • Lead the bid preparation for a diverse range of projects
  • Assist in defining sales process on selective pursuits to win work for Systech
  • Collaboration with Business Development and Operations in developing distinctive value propositions that enhance our customers’ competitive position.
  • Editing and, where necessary, authoring bid documents to ensure clear, consistent, and compelling responses
  • Build global bid function


Works under the general supervision of the Managing Director for APAC & MEA, Stephen Rayment.

This position does not presently supervise others but there is going to be a need to build and manage a remote team once the requisite systems, processes and procedures are in place.
