Barry Worthington has over 30 years’ international experience in the construction, civil engineering, resources, major infrastructure and property development sectors, including airports, universities, hospitals, power stations, process plant and infrastructure, resources, commercial, industrial and residential projects as well as specialist forms of project funding and securitisation of debt.
The majority of this time has been in executive leadership positions with tier 1 and tier 2 contracting organisations such as Lend Lease, Hansen Yuncken, Georgiou Group, Bowmer and Kirkland in both Australia and UK, as well as Board director positions with public listed contractor companies in Singapore and Hong Kong. Barry also ran his own successful construction claims and advisory consultancy in the UK for 5 years prior to relocating to Asia.
Barry regularly provides specialist and tailored advice on procurement methods including design and construct, alliance contracting, public/private partnerships and traditional contracting
Barry has extensive experience in mediation, adjudication, litigation and arbitration proceedings, as well as the formulation and execution of commercial strategies to manage claims resolution or strategies to avoid conflict upon major construction and engineering projects.
