Construction Planner – London

We are the leading global provider of commercial management, risk, planning and scheduling, claims, dispute resolution, expert, legal, visualisation and training services and our team of professionals operates over the full lifespan of projects – from bid to handover – from our offices across UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa and the Americas.

We manage and resolve claims and disputes using our contracts, forensic delay analyst and legal consultants who provide a co-ordinated and seamless service, avoiding the abortive work that often arises when using multi-party advisors.

We are now actively recruiting across the UK for Construction Planners. Whilst ideally you will hold a degree in a Construction related field it is more important to have a minimum 5 years’ experience in construction planning.

The role holder will usually be expected to hold a professional accreditation (Member status or higher) to at least one acknowledged body (e.g. CIOB, APM, ICE) or be working towards it.

Responsibilities:  
  • To take responsibility for the delivery of professional assignments
  • Supporting Senior team members on key major projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract requirements
  • Knowledge of current project planning techniques
  • Maintenance of project records
  • Understanding Change Management including variations /compensation events
  • A sound working knowledge of various standard forms of contracts including NEC and JCT
  • Supporting major claims and knowledge of dispute resolution under guidance where necessary
  Individual:
  • Member of an accredited professional body
  • A sound understanding of current construction methodologies
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of planning software (e.g. P6, Powerproject)
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Presentable and articulate
  • Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
