David Buisson appointed as Global Head of Project Controls

We are delighted to announce the appointment of David Buisson as our Global Head of Project Controls.

A globally recognised and prominent industry executive with a proven success in leading high-value, complex projects, David has been appointed to a series of eminent roles including Programme Director at Heathrow Airport, Global Project Director for GlaxoSmithKline, Major Programme Director for Network Rail, Executive Vice President for Metrolinx, Global Program Director for Jacobs (leading projects for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and Lower Thames Crossing) and Delivery Integration Director for the Sizewell C nuclear programme.

David was born in New Zealand and has gained his global expertise from spells living in Japan, the Middle East, the USA, Canada and the UK.

Our relationship with David goes back a number of years and by working closely with him it became evident that his skill set and personality aligned with our long-term plans to provide a hybrid project controls offering; not just problem-solving but advising on solutions when the project delivery schedule is critical.

David is also an advocate of the hybrid approach and welcomes the opportunity to work with us to set the strategy and shape for our unique boutique project controls offering in what he plans to be his final industry role.

He will be based in the UK and travel as required for international appointments.

Stephen Rayment, CEO and Joint Group Managing Director, and Mark Woodward-Smith, Joint Group Managing Director comment:
“David is well known to us and we are delighted that he is joining the business. He is an industry big hitter with a market-leading reputation and he has the expertise and confidence to manage global mega projects. He will work closely with us, our regional management teams and professional specialists to support both government bodies and contractors in our globally recognised and joined-up legal, expert, claims/dispute avoidance, scheduling and project services offering. He will also take a key role in expanding our project controls team, including the appointment of a Head of Project Controls in Australia this summer.”
