The Position

Systech is involved in a variety of major infrastructure projects across the USA. Our assignments range from short-term contract and commercial management support, to carrying out a detailed quantum analysis in the preparation of claims documentation.

You will provide leadership to the commercial team, establishing improved processes and procedures alongside tier-one main contractors. You will have a proven ability to work collaboratively, implementing new practices and strategies to enhance project performance.
This is a technical position, and you are required to possess a relevant degree. It is important that you are personable and able to demonstrate an ability to maintain and develop client relations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in USA (either USA citizen or Green card holder)
  • Degree educated (preferably BSc degree in Quantity Surveying) or similar
  • MRICS status an advantage
  • Must have experience in managing FARS / DFARS contracts
  • Minimum 10 years' major infrastructure project experience
  • Strong commercial management and project experience
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Experience of leading teams on major construction projects
  • Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
  • Able to work Single Status on rotation or be willing to relocate
  • Must be mobile and flexible to work around projects in the USA

Responsibilities:

  • To take responsibility for the delivery of professional assignments under the supervision of a senior member of staff.
  • Supporting senior team members on key projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
  • Preparation of management accounts including project cost and value reporting
  • Subcontract procurement and management
  • Maintenance of project records
  • Change management including raising and valuing variations /compensation events
  • Manage high volume of Construction contracts including drafting negotiation and Execution.
