Role

Systech is currently appointed on projects around Canada mainly in the infrastructure sectors.

As Project Director you will provide the leadership on major multi-discipline railway infrastructure projects, establishing strong project management processes and procedures on behalf of the client. You be working with executive stakeholders and manage complexed interfaces at all levels of the project, including the design consultancies, main contractors, local government officials and the client.

You will have overall responsibility for the management of the contract & budgetary controls and delivery of the project through all phases of the project life-cycle from design & build to the final handover and operations of projects.

You will have a proven ability to lead and mentor a team, implementing new procedures and strategies alongside a history of successful project delivery on mega-projects over £500million+

This is a consultancy role and you must therefore be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.

Individual

• Senior Project Director with over 25 years’ experience
• Degree qualified in Engineering (or related)
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Manager (CMgr)
• Proven experience in the delivery of major rail & metro projects over £500million+
• Full project life-cycle experience from design to handover
• Able to effectively manage the contract and resources of the project
• Excellent communicator able to cultivate strong relationships with key project stakeholders
  including the design consultancies, main contractors, local government officials and the client.
• Client or PMC side experience would be an advantage
• Previous international experience as an expat would be an advantage
• Available to be based in Toronto full-time for this position
