    Akita Noshiro Offshore Wind Farm, Japan

    Akita Offshore Wind Corporation (AOW), a consortium led by Marubeni and other Japanese energy and construction firms, developed and began commercial operation (starting December 2022) of a 140 MW bottom-fixed offshore wind project across Akita Port (13 × 4.2 MW turbines) and Noshiro Port (20 × 4.2 MW) supplying power to Tohoku Electric under a 20-year PPA

    Service provided: Systech provided contract management and schedule management support.

    Cruise Ship Construction, Nagasaki

    The construction of two new-build prototype luxury cruise ships built in Nagasaki, Japan and delivered in 2016 and 2017.

    Service provided: Contract and schedule management including evaluation and response to subcontractors’ claims for compensation and extensions of time along with associated negotiations. Monitoring and reporting subcontractors’ performance and advising on the implementation of schedule mitigation measures and corrective actions.

    Space Jet, Japan

    Development of a new, single aisle aircraft to serve regional routes worldwide. The first commercial airliner designed and produced in Japan since the 1960s.

    Service provided: We advised the development company MRJ (an MHI company) on the commercial aspects of supply contracts and a advised on formal disputes with suppliers.

    Stephen P. Rayment

    CEO and Group Managing Director

    Stephen Rayment co-founded Systech International in 1991 with Mark Woodward-Smith and he is the CEO & Group Managing Director with responsibility for the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and Australia. Stephen is also responsible for all strategic and policy matters. Stephen regularly visits Japan to meet with the local team and to meet with clients, current and prospective.

    Shingo Ohno

    Shingo has over 20 years of experience on international construction projects. He is a specialist in contract and claims management and regularly leads complex assignments. He dedicates 25% of his role to business development and 75% to fee-earning project work.

    Ken Hikasa

    Ken holds a degree in Commerce and Management and has over 24 years of experience in the construction industry. A former Mitsubishi Heavy Industries executive, he is an expert in commercial and contract management for major EPC projects. His international experience spans Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the USA. He splits his time between business development (25% – MHI focus) and fee-earning work (75%).
